So why on earth are we charging so little? The short answer is: because we can. There’s no technological reason why a transaction switch should cost $1 million or more. Legacy providers charge that much – and then lock clients into long-term support contracts – because they’ve gotten away with it up until now, and because they’re supporting bloated operations.
